Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 2010

The SLK 55 was first introduced in 2005 and was updated for the 2010 model year and beyond. The car's 5.5L V8 is unchanged with an output of 355 horsepower at 5750 rpm and 376 pound-feet of torque at 4000rpm.

The SLK 55 AMG is a high-performance variant of the successful SLK-Class roadster from Mercedes-Benz. As with all AMG models, the SLK 55 sports wider fenders, a lower stance, quad tailpipes, enlarged air intakes, and, of course, a more powerful engine.

Mercedes History

Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz, started Mercedes Benz during the 1880s. It was them who came up with vehicle powered by internal combustion engine. An interesting fact about these two originators is that they had no idea about each other. Their work was closely related, and they both lived in Southwest Germany, but they didn’t know each other. Daimler and Benz never met at all. They worked separately, Daimler concentrating on his successful racing cars at Unterturkheim. Because Daimler’s cars were so successful, a dealer from Austria named Emil Jellinek got the cars into races and won more often than not. The cars were named after Mercedes – his daughter.Jellinek, because he was very impressed with the cars, made a large order from Daimler and his business partner and friend Wilhelm Maybach. It was agreed that Jellinek could modify some of the designs, and that he could name the car Mercedes. Because of his great faith in the cars, a large portion of what he had went towards investing on the company.

Everything about Mercedes-Benz is high-end, and no other car company can compare to all that Mercedes-Benz has accomplished, if you look at all the luxury cars, trucks, vans, buses, and its part in the motor car world.
Now, the company is known among the world’s top manufacturers, when talking about cars.

BMW X6 2010

BMW has finally made official the long-rumored M versions of  X6 "Sports Activity Vehicles". Of the two new power 'utes, which are closest competitors to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, the 2010 BMW X6 M is the more exciting, with its rakish shape and a brand new BMW M Power engine finally packing enough ponies to give the X6 its day in the sun.

MW M Power models have always been about so much more than straight-line speed, so to make the 2010 X6 M a well-rounded car with enough capabilities in the twisties to justify its lineage was part of the deal. The torque distribution and suspension systems that debuted on the X6 did not need a whole lot of modification to be up to the M challenge, but early drive reports should confirm that BMW has really gone the extra mile here.

BMW X6 have a spectacular and sporty style interior which make this car looks like a luxury treat.

BMW History

In 1917, BMW's first aircraft engine went into production, the 6 cylinder Type IIIa. In 1919, using an aircraft powered by its successor, the Type IV, Franz Zeno Diemer set an altitude record of 9,760 metres (32,013 ft). After the Treaty of Versailles was signed in the same year, prohibiting BMW from building aircraft engines, production switched to air brakes for railway cars. When BMW started once again to build aircraft engines in 1922, no fewer than 29 world records in aviation were set with them. The current BMW logo, introduced in 1920, was based on the circular design of an aircraft propeller.

The legendary German marque that is so well known for its automobiles actually has its roots in motorcycles. The first BMW motorcycle, the R 32, went into production in 1923 at the newly constructed Eisenach factory next to the Munich airport of the day. The R 32 used a flat-twin engine transversely mounted in a double-tubular frame producing 8.5 horsepower at 3300 rpm. The 2-cylinder 494cc motorcycle could reach a top speed of 59 mph (95 km/h). BMW manufactured 3090 of them during its 3 year life span.

1932 was the year the BMW AM 4 (Ausfuhrung Munchen 4 Gange - Munich Version 4 Speeds) - a.k.a. BMW's first "real" car - went into production. The AM 4, also called the 3/20 PS, was the successor to the Dixi and the first production car to be built entirely in-house by BMW. The powerplant was a 782cc 4 cylinder unit which featured suspended valves and a double chain driving the camshafts, producing 20 horsepower at 3500 rpm and providing the saloon with a 50 mph top speed.

Kawasaki History

The company is founded by Shozo Kawasaki in 1869.His firm will come to be known as Kawasaki Heavy Industries.Over time, the company’s principal areas of activity will be shipbuilding, railroad rolling stock, and electrical generating plants.Kawasaki signs agreement to take over Meguro motorcycles in 1960,a major player in the nascent Japanese motorcycle manufacturing business.Meguro is one of the only Japanese companies making a 500cc bike.In England and the UK,Meguro’s 500 – which bears a strong resemblance to the BSA A7 – is derided as a cheap copy. But in fact, it is a pretty high-quality bike.

Kawasaki's first motorcycle in the 1960 was a 125cc two stroke Kawasaki motorcycle.Kawasaki motorcycle history started their high end powerful rigs by acquiring Meguro motorcycles which was oldest motorcycle company in Japan.

Kawasaki motorcycle history rolled out its first big motorcycle which sported a 650 cc engine and was called model W1.

Yamaha History

The Japanese company was well known for its musical instruments, but in 1955 it began producing motorcycles. It began with simple and inexpensive machines but has grown to its position as a powersports powerhouse, offering some of the best sportbikes, cruisers and off-road bikes on the market. It ranks second only to Honda as the leader among Japanese manufacturers.

Honda History

In October 1946, Soichiro Honda established the Honda Technical Research Institute in Hamamatsu, Japan, to develop and produce small 2-cycle motorbike engines. Two years later, Honda Motor Company, Ltd. was born, and in 1959 Honda opened its first storefront in Los Angeles with six industrious employees.
